Dan Goellner | Commercial Sales Manager – Industrial, Safety & National AccountsWhy is the 1.8 kW LavAdvantage™ a game changer?
We all know the biggest hurdle to specifying electric tankless water heaters is finding enough electricity in the building. Currently, the only methods to decrease amp draw are reducing temperature rise or reducing flow rate. The new .35 GPM aerators for handwashing are a great way to reduce flow; and LavAdvantage’s 0.2 GPM turn-on is ideal for the .35 GPM aerator. The lowest power heater previously made by Eemax was 2.4 kW and it drew 20 amps. The 1.8 kW heater draws 15 amps, which is adequate to heat water coming out of .35 GPM faucets. A 5 amp savings doesn’t sound like much, does it? However, when you’re looking at a 30-restroom facility the difference adds up to a dramatic 150 amp reduction for the entire building. That difference was enough to get Eemax specified on a large e-commerce fulfillment center project in Detroit last month. The LavAdvantage lineup provides at least 6 different specifiable features that other manufacturers cannot match. You’ve got to love that!
